Bond University met their match in an exciting game against GPS at their home ground over the weekend, narrowly missing out 36 – 31.
The game was full of highlights despite the loss, with both teams picking up the pace and holding the ball thanks to the near perfect weather which saw the teams going back and forth for tries.
Backrower and captain Tai Ford proved he’s the man for the job controlling the away side in well-rehearsed set plays by Bond and relying on Nucifora to slot conversions after Franky Calugey and Tai Ford who muscled their away across the try line.
The weekends game was a vast improvement from last week with BOND leaving no doubt for spectators that they will be a side to look out for as the season continues to heat up.
Bond University are sitting second-last on the leader board heading in to round 3, not a position reflected by their effort nor one they will be wanting to hold.
