Bond University Rugby Club

11th July, 2017

It’s been a frustrating season for our Reggies, with 7 bonus points losses.  To their credit, they’ve gone close in almost every match. But not yesterday against Jeeps, in second place on the ladder.  Sadly for tireless flanker Jaye Paton it was a 28-0 shutout by a polished side that’s lost only 3 games all season.  They even had an international lock, Radike Samo, in their pack.  Taramai Nixon showed the big man little respect as he stopped him in his tracks with a bone-jarring hit.  Jeeps scored 4 tries in clinical fashion and there wasn’t much for our fans to cheer about.

However there was one moment that should be on a highlight reel of the season – big Brandon Anae grabbing an intercept near his own line, sprinting clear and kicking downfield – with all the class and poise of a top flyhalf!
