Congratulations to Bond University Premier Colts half-back, Joshua Vuta, who recently made the Queensland II team to compete at St Ignatius College, Riverview in Sydney next month.
Josh joined Bond University Rugby this year, starting in the Premier Colts and recently benching for Reserves and Premier Grade.
Vuta has been impressive this year with his most recent achievements of winning the Associated Private Schools Grand Final (APS) with his school team, and the State U18 Schoolboys Championships from where he was selected to be a part of the Combined Secondary Schools team to compete in the Queensland trials.
“Playing for Bond has given me a wealth of knowledge and experience as well as competing in the APS Grand Final and the State Schoolboys Championship – these comps provided the opportunity for me to be considered for selection,” Vuta says.
The young schoolboy made the team last year where he was further selected to represent Australia in the National Schoolboys team.
Along with these past successes and his hard-working demeanor, Joshua is set to represent Queensland over several days from Monday, July 3 to Saturday, July 8.
“I’m looking forward for the week ahead and I’m hoping to strive for another position in the Aussie Schoolboys team,”
The team will come up against New South Wales I, Melbourne and Combined States.
We wish Josh all the best for his schoolboys endeavor over the next week.
