Bond University Rugby Club

20th June, 2017

After a slow start Premier Colts have hit their straps and are learning how to combine as a team and win the close ones.  They led 14-nil against a tenacious Norths outfit that came back strongly and drew level 14-all in the second half.  But our boys steadied and scored the match-winner after a sensational 70m run from replacement forward Sam Dobb.  Although he was pulled down 10m short, the ball was coolly recycled and outstanding winger Kuti Tahua scored after a long pass from Josh Walker.  With no Josh Vuta, out injured, it was a gutsy win 19-14? But all things considered, a win’s a win and the Bond boys are still in touch with the top four.   Other tryscorers were John Nucifora Jackson Silvester-Lee.
